Robot-Assisted Surgery

Faster Surgery, Faster Recovery!

Can you imagine what it would be like to have a fast recovery from your implant surgery? That is a reality now here at Pacific Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery with Yomi® - our surgical robot.

Robot-assisted surgery offers haptic robotic guidance to intensify the skilled implant dentistry teams’ clinical expertise and delivers minimally invasive repeatable surgical precision.

Yomi® enables Dr. Brandon Kang and Dr. David Ahn. to make tiny incisions to insert your implant posts. These small incisions result in less discomfort and faster healing, meaning a quick return to normal life.

We are the ONLY center in Oakland to offer minimally invasive surgery utilizing robotic and laser-assisted technology in implant surgeries.

A Perfect Smile With 3D Digital Imaging

Greater Precision, Faster Surgery, Faster Recovery!

By investing in the latest 3D digital imaging technology and implementing a digital workflow system, we can now offer greater precision during the planning and execution stages of your dental implant treatment.

When placing dental implants, we can ensure their exact position over traditional methods. Our device allows us to capture detailed digital images of your teeth, gums, and bone and facial structure, resulting in a treatment plan executed accurately, predictably, and efficiently.

This way, your smile will be exactly how it was meant to look.

Many implant specialists only use a CBCT scanner, but not many use this new technology. We are one of the few dental offices in the Oakland, CA area using it!

Let's Get Started

Why Choose Dental Implants?

Dental implants give you the ability to bite and chew your food. They can also be crucial to smiling and speaking properly. Your teeth are one of the first things people notice about you. When you lose your teeth, no matter how many, your sense of confidence may begin to change as you face new oral health issues such as an inability to comfortably smile and socialize with your friends.

Dental Implants are small Zirconia or titanium rods which are surgically inserted into your jawbone. The bone fuses to them during healing, providing strong, stable support for your new teeth.

Now is the time to take care of your health and enjoy a bright and beautiful smile.

Why Laser Dentistry?

At Pacific Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery we are dedicated to always providing you with the highest quality dental care. With laser surgery we can reduce your amount of time in the chair, shorten healing times, decrease pain, and ensure that your dental experience is comfortable and positive.

Laser dentistry is an exciting new way to perform dental procedures by using a highly focused beam of light to precisely remove and shape tissue. It is often used to perform procedures such as:

  • Gum Recontouring and Disinfecting

  • Remove the decayed or damaged portion of a tooth

  • Treat Periodontal Disease

Laser dentistry is less invasive and reduces the risk of pain, infection, and recession compared to traditional periodontal surgery.

How Can Dental Implants Transform My Smile?

Dental implants feel and function like natural teeth and are a great way for you to get back to smiling and eating naturally.

With whole mouth implants that replace missing teeth, we can create a whole new you in just one visit. If you are a good candidate, you may be able to go home the next day or sooner with new teeth and a beautiful smile.

Get back your amazing smile!

What are my options if I need a whole row of new teeth?

Pacific Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery utilizes the latest dental implant procedures and technology.

Fixed Full Arch Dental Implants (also known as All on Four or All on Six) offer the best option for people looking for a long-term solution and a perfect smile.

3 on 6™ Alternative to All-on-4®

Pacific Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery offers a lighter, thinner alternative to All-on-4 with the 3-on-6™ system, designed to restore your natural eating, chewing, and smiling experience. As the name suggests, six implants provide strength and stability while protecting against jawbone loss.

Three natural-looking, bright, and solid Zirconium bridges are securely attached to these implants—with no acrylic mouthpiece. That means no bulky plastic covering the roof of your mouth, allowing you to chew, smile, and speak freely.

Unlike traditional full-arch solutions, 3-on-6™ eliminates the need for excessive bone reduction. Many full-arch treatments require shaving down as much as 5mm of bone to fit, which can weaken the jaw over time. With 3-on-6™, your bone structure remains intact, promoting long-term oral health.

Caring for your new implants is a breeze; you only need to brush and floss, that's it. No trips to the doctor to remove your arch to clean out the mouthpiece!

3 on 6™ is considered one of the best smile restoration treatments available. Come visit and learn more.

ThinArch™ Alternative to All-on-4®

Pacific Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery proudly offers ThinArch™, a unique alternative to traditional full-arch restorations. It's designed to be 4x lighter and smaller than standard solutions.

Standard All-on-4 implants often require removing up to 5mm of your natural bone to make room for bulky artificial gums.

ThinArch eliminates the need for excessive bone reduction, preserving your natural structure while providing a sleek, comfortable fit.

Here’s why ThinArch is different:

  • Ultra-lightweight & slim

  • No impact on speech & no gaps with stuck food

  • Less invasive surgery with faster recovery

Caring for your new implants is a breeze; you only need to brush and floss, that's it. No trips to the doctor to remove your arch to clean out the mouthpiece!

For patients who qualify for ThinArch, it's a superior solution that looks and feels like real teeth.

No Bone? No Problem

Zygomatic dental implants offer a unique approach to tooth replacement by anchoring implants in the cheekbones instead of the jawbone.

This eliminates the need for altering the jawbone and provides stable support for fixed teeth. With longer implants, zygomatic implants can accommodate replacement teeth effectively.

When performed by a skilled clinician familiar with 3D anatomies, such as Dr. Brandon B. Kang, you can have that amazing smile again.

The Benefits of Zygomatic Implants:

  • Requires fewer surgeries

  • Supports secure, natural-looking teeth

  • Eliminates the need for bone grafting procedures

  • Provides reliable, long-term function

Hear from some of our happy patients!

Incredible. I came here after having a traumatic oral injury and Dr Kang and his crew took the best care of me. I am extremely happy with how the implant & bone graft went, as well as with all the follow-ups. I couldn’t recommend their office more!

Drago Nesa

I was in desperate need of oral surgery and tried for days to find one who had an appointment before August. In my search for a dental office, I found Dr. Brandon Kang. I booked an appointment the same day and Dr. Kang was kind and calm. He removed a huge implant that another Dentist attempted but was unable to remove. I had no bruising and minimal swelling. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Kang and his staff for their friendly, fun, and wonderful care and skills. I highly recommend this office and Dr. Kang to anyone in need of oral surgery.

Sue Eadie

As a patient and recipient of two implants, and one extraction, I am more than happy to recommend Dr Brandon and staff. I appreciate the knowledge, skills, and teamwork experienced during each visit.
